The problem
Customers built dashboards with 40+ tiles, then never looked at them. Density had become a proxy for value.
The approach
Every chart type got a written rule about when it is the right answer. The default new dashboard starts with one question and one chart, and resists growth.
What happened
Median tiles per dashboard fell from 23 to 7. Weekly dashboard opens went up 60% — fewer charts, looked at far more often.
